Ombre is HOT!

Ok Ok Ok... This trend has been around for some time now and I am still in love... The Ombre hair coloring technique is EVERYWHERE!...

Ombre- The hair world borrowed the term 'Ombre' from the french word meaning shaded or shading. Ombre hair color is generally darker at the roots through the mid-shaft and then gradually gets lighter from the mid-shaft to the ends. It is usually achieved using a balayage technique and is ideal for clients looking for a low-maintenance style
http://beautysupply.about.com/od/highlighting/g/What-Is-Ombre-Hair-Color.htm

This technique can be achieved using various methods and colors.. You can always bailage with your choice of bleach and developer. I recently used this techinique on my virgin hair that I installed a few weeks ago and I am IN LOVE!

I used a only a few materials!!!

1. Kaledicolors Bleach (Neutral).... I love this bleach because it comes with a toner to ensure a refined look and minimizes the step of toning for yourself!!!

2. 40 volume developer Pure White by Clairol- I used 40 because I did the technique on extensions so I had room to shy away from unwanted damage... I also cut processing time by using a higher volume developer.

3.Non metallic bowl and brush for application. I chose the large brush to speed up my process and ensure saturation of the desired area!

4. You can use foils or free hand it depends on your comfort zone!...

I love this look it gives off edge and softness at the same time here are a few celebrity looks...

Here we have the lovely Ashlee Simpson! I enjoy her look she exaggerated the gradual color from dark to light and made it work! I like how she kept the hair textured... it gave off more dimension in the look! Good job!

Raven Simones beautiful tresses!

Keke Palmer has fun with her color and the tones compliment her complexion PERFECTLY!

I randomly found this pic browsing... It isn't really the classic Ombre technique but her stylist vamped it up and i APPRECIATE it!... The look is edgy and genius all the while!!!

Now I am sure all of you are familiar with the color craze!!! OMBRE!! If you were not hopefully you gained knowledge through this read!

NOW YOU KNOW I AM NOT DONE!!!

The beauty of my field has to be the instant evolution of trends and how they convert or transfer to other aspects of this field!! Ombre is known for being a hair color techinque....

BUT

the NAIL TECHS have adopted the technique and made it work for them... You can choose your color scheme and get an Ombre Manicure! I love this and it just goes to show creativity THRIVES in this industry!!!

Completing the LOOK!...

I think it is extremely important to understand how to complete a look. Fashion,Beauty, and Style is something we all posses we just need to understand how to complete it! I view the beauty/fashion world as a broad field filled with opportunity to showcase personality, and self expression through art form.

I am not here to tell you all the Do's and Dont's... I will save that for another Blog. Instead I am going to give you my perspective on how to Complete your look... Every detail matters and should NOT go unnoticed.

I love to have a statement piece in my outfit.... whether its the shoes, an article of clothing, a piece of jewelry, etc. Something must standout and represent me, I call that the statement piece! I am also a fan of matching my nail color choice with my lipstick... I think it is so feminine and a subtle detail that when noticed speaks volumes.

Find a fragrance you like to wear and stick to it for a while I like to change up with season...Every woman should smell good and the fact that there are Thousands of different perfumes to chose from I am sure you can find one to represent you.

Being that I am a Stylist and a MUA (Make Up Artist) I pay close attention to this aspect. Less is best at times and make sure you understand you color wheel... What colors compliment each other and what colors clash. The primary colors are RED, YELLOW, BLUE. These colors are are complementary when paired with the secondary colors... For Example:

RED+GREEN

ORANGE+BLUE

YELLOW+VIOLET

If you understand this concept it will help you when pairing colors for your hair, wardrobe, and make up!

I am going to start posting looks every now then that are completed!... Make sure you check out JasmineNikol's Fashion Editor!!!... Paradise Monroe!...http://paradismonroeofjasminenikole.blogspot.com/

Here is my look for a night on the town, and your not quite sure where he is taking you or where you and your girls may end up. Simple yet chic, with the statement piece being the color blocked skirt. I topped it off with a fish tail braid ponytail. The lip and nail color choice happen to be my favorite... PINK... So girly and fun and fits well with this look. A platform heel by J.Campbell can never steer you wrong. Hope you guys enjoy, try to mock it if you like it and post pics! I would love to see your versions of this look!
